'Berry' 1m dia, Commissioned by Chris Beardshaw for 2005 Chelsea Flower Show Garden.
'Shoot' a group of 4, 2m tall sculptures are about growth, the fast, dynamic sort we see in the spring when bluebells appear. The configuration is important and considers the way plants find their own space. The group resembles a crown. Each outward facing stem is mosaiced with lines of silver mirror and each is mosaiced with a different glass inside; gold leaf, copper leaf, bronze and grey mirror. Private collection.
'Seed' 0.75m dia, 2002. Seed is inspired by the cluster of grains you achieve when running your thumb and forefinger up a stem of seeded grass. It celebrates grass as a common and invaluable plant. Private collection, Canary Wharf, London.
'Pollen' 2004. Exine is one of a series of sculptures about pollen. This piece is about the hard shell than preserves the pollen for years in some cases, before the pollen finds its way to the stamen of an appropriate flower and hopefully fertilizes an egg. The exine has apertures through which the interior sperm escapes. This sculpture has 6, and is like a cage. Other pollen sculptures were about the sometimes spiky appearance of some types of pollen and another was a convex partly deflated sphere type grain. Pollen fly around in the air invisibly suspended, life charges on a parallel plain.
‘Lepidotes Mantelli’. Relief floor mosaic, 4m diameter, located at Sandown, Isle of White. Commissioned by Southern Water. Glass and stone mosaic of previously local prehistoric fish. Designed in consultation with local residents and councillors, local school children contributed to the making.2002.
'Nut' panel. One of five 3m long wall panels illustrating botanical imagery inspired by writers connected to Leatherhead, Surrey. Commissioned by Howick Contemporary Art, 2002.
'Horns' private collection, Dorset, 2000.
'Rose' 2003. 4m wall panel for Dalkeith, Bournemouth. Imagery inspired by Merton Russell-Coates.
'Reed II' 5m tall, 2005. This sculpture celebrates life, represents growth, strength. It is like a much enlarged single blade of grass and also represents a group of flowering plants known as monocots, the most primitive of the groups of flowering plants. Private collection, Dorset.
'Dome' fountain 1.2m dia, private collection, Knightsbridge, London.
'Spikey' pollen 2004. Inspired by the sometimes spiky appearance of some types of pollen and another was a convex partly deflated sphere type grain. Pollen fly around in the air invisibly suspended, life charges on a parallel plain.
'Vine' panel 6m long. Commissioned by MC Art, London.
'Palm' fountain 1.5m square. Private commission 2001.
'Gresham' palace planters. Commissioned by Richmond International, London for The Four Seasons Hotel, Gresham Palace, Budapest.
'Exine' 0.4m dia. The exine has apertures through which the interior sperm escapes. This sculpture has 6, and is like a cage.
