Seedlings and 4th Seedling.

The Charles Rennie Mackintosh museum, 78 Derngate in Northampton, commissioned a group of 3 sculptures called Seedlings. Seedlings were inspired by Mackintosh’s stylised representation of trees found in the entrance hall at 78 Derngate, and by a carved newel post. My seedlings represent the first few leaves that emerge when a seed germinates and are situated in the gardens.
